Launched out of Porcupine at 0730 in Glenn's new Lund in search of some eyes. We hit a couple of points near Lapham's and only caught one 16" eye that was the first fish in Glenn's live well. We then headed up to near buoy 5 and proceeded to catch 29 eyes, five of which were eating size, and 13 burbot of which we kept 9. All were caught on various colored jig and plastic combos with shades of green once again being the best. I also caught a few on a Norisada blade bait in trout color with red hooks that I have added. The day was a bit breezy but Glenn handled the boat driving very efficiently allowing me to enjoy catch the most fish from the back of the boat. I know all of that will change as soon as we start targeting the crappies at Long. It was a cold and foggy day and I bet it won't be the last. Water temp was 57-58 deg in porky and 53 deg near buoy 5. Best depths were 40-60'

We were there Saturday as well, and the fog from Spokane to Hume Road was about the worst I've seen in some time. Nice catch of eyes and burbot. May have to make a run up that way next time we're at Roosevelt. Thanks for the report. ;-)

That burbot on the cutting board appears to be still alive! That is as fresh as fresh can get.
