Some never knew, and the rest are forgetting!} but they often work when other stuff doesn't. Course vice versa happens, too) and bucktail jigs. But we have been there when it was hard to get a bite, also. Glad you were able to enjoy it anyway! And Merry Christmas to you as well!

12/15/2013 4:35:00 PMTipping the flies with a piece of worm? 5 colors might have been a wee bit too much, how long was your leader? I run 150' out using a 50' leader so that's 100' of leaded line, roughly 3 - 3 1/2 colors depending on whether any colors have been trimmed back. I find higher speeds than what you were trolling work better and generally don't troll slower than 2.8mph. Sounds like you're doing the right things, maybe just not at the right place at the right time. Bummer you missed out on fish, but at least you had a great day and company!
