Took 2 good friends fishing to Swawilla on LR. Launched at Keller, headed down and had the lines in at 9am. Wind was light, small chop on the water and the fish were slowly hitting. Running 1 leaded, 1surface and 2 d-riggers. Pink hootchie started off getting the hits on the rigger at 17' down. Got one on the Kekada perch 3 colors on the lead.
Water got very calm and fish quit. Trolled down to Spring Canyon looking for the Kok's and only found the Bows. Changed up gear, colors, speeds from 1.5 to 2.5, dodgers, no dodgers, corn, worms, corn and worms, tried everything. When the wind came back up and water roughed up a bit fish started to pick up but still slow. The surface line with the orange rapala ended up with the most fish. We quit at 2:45 when the wind picked up with 11 Bows and only 1 hit the 3lb mark. Still a good day with 2 old fishing buddies.

I know what you mean when the water goes flat, they seem to get spooked about hitting the top surface. Has the water muddy up much yet towards the dam ? Thanks for the report !

Water is not to muddy at all. Not as good as before but still could see the fish down 6ft when bringing them in to the boat.

widebear - Thanks for the report. I also have noticed the flat water is not as good. Wonder where those kokes are hiding? Always a good time with friends on the water. - Alan
