Report Date 4/2/14
This past week we spent some time on the Lower Columbia targeting Spring Chinook in the I5 Bridge area. We primarily trolled herring and Fish Flash flashers by Yakima Bait Company on the downstream troll. We had great success in the Hayden Island area and the Airport. We managed to fill boat limits both on 3/30 and 3/31, before returning home to Idaho on April first. We were targeting fish in water 15 to 20 feet deep. How bright chrome these fish are never ceases to amaze me.
Our next chance at some chrome spring Chinook will come at the end of April. I will be fishing the Drano Lake area of the Columbia River Gorge from the 26th of April to the 9th of March. Judging by how we did on the Lower Columbia, I really thing the fishing will be fantastic at Drano this year. Give me a call or text at 208-861-0654 to book your upcoming spring Chinook trips. Also check out http://www.kylejonessportfishing.com for more information on how to book your trips.

Fish the Columbia, Snake, and Clearwater Rivers for salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon. For drift boat trips on Idaho's Clearwater and Washington's Grande Ronde rivers, we fish out of a 20x72 Willie Drift Boat.

Right on! This place needs a guide that can put springers in the boat.
