We launched at Spring Canyon, the Lake is sure getting down, it is a long way to the water now. A report In the "Spokesman Review" stated that the draw down may go to below 1230'. The weather was great, lots of sun with a little wind in the am /pm. We were on the water from about 9am till around 4pm each day. A total count of 23 trout up to 3.3# and 1 small kokanee during our 4 day stay. We had one very good day, limits for both us us within 4 hours. The other 3 days was a lot tougher finding fish. Pretty much stayed in the Grant Coulee Dam area. We tried fishing up river on one day, as far up stream as Keller Ferry. The fish seemed to be holding shallow as usual, leaded line worked best, with jointed Rapala's 130-200' back and a trolling speed of around 2 mph. We did see some really nice Kokanee coming out but it was not our turn this trip. It is a real shame that with the draw down some very nice fish will be ground up in the turbines.
