Home to do some watering and to make quick report. Kok fishing is OK, not hot but can catch nice fish. They have moved from 40,50' down to 65' with this hot weather. On the 7th it was dead but this AM was good. Average fish are 18" and the bigger ones that I have caught are 21 to 22" just an ounce or 2 under 4lbs. Pink hootchies with pink smiley blades are the hot set up. 1.5mph is the speed for me. Work the drop offs in 140 to 200' of water. I have lost a number of screamers that hit and don't stop. Two broke the leaders and the others just flat pulled off. Some days are better than others. Water has warmed up from 64 to 75 degrees in the last week.

Hey Widebear! Sounds like you're having a pretty good trip. I don't think you checked your PMs before you left. You won the Kekeda fly drawing. I was hoping to get you the flies before you took off. Looks like you didn't need them. Those things are HUGE! Nice job and enjoy the rest of your time. -Dave

OOPS Sorry I didn't say Swawilla Basin. I checked other places but the Basin was the only place I could get the Kok's. Also caught lots of 17 to 18" bows. Brought the boat home today and ended up with 27 Kok's in the boat over 11 days of fishing.
