We launched at spring canyon today and fished up river chasing the sounder. We marked a bunch of fish, but even dragging 6 rods through then we were unable to hook up. We were in mid gear change when our lone koke today sucked down a dick nite mini spoon with a single piece of corn. Once again we boated a few reasonable bows, although the planters down here pale in size to the upriver natives we've been grabbing.

Hey HIgh Country...thanks for the report. We're heading over to the lake tomorrow for four days and still have figured out our approach. We have 'Bows in mind but shy away somewhat due to the pesky planters in the 12 to 14" range. Where up river where you speaking of? We're putting in at Two Rivers and nothing is off the table as far as how far we'd run. I'm leaving the riggers at home and will resort to leaded line and/or mono depending on the approach.

Thanks for any input HC!

I've fished from the dam up to 7 bays this week. The best bows I've caught have been around Whitestone and hawk. My daughter nabbed a 20" rainbow last night that is a stud as well as several 14"-16".
