Today I launched at Keller for the first time. We fished up river to just shy of Jones. We were in the water from noon to 430pm with 5 rods dragging leaded line and flies, downrigger with hoochies, panther Martins, rapalas....and everything else I had to no avail. Not a single bump. I did mark some big fish around 150' but never tried for them. With that said today was absolutely beautiful.

If you're wondering, the launch was bare and dry and the road in was mostly bare and dry with deicer where it was needed. Don't be afraid to launch there.

Thanks for the report. Haven't been out for awhile so was wondering what was going on. Locals are having a hard time also. I thought it was to good to last. But it is still gorgeous place to be this time of the year.

high country: Sorry the fishing was nil. I was planning on coming over that way around the 4th of Jan. for 4-5 days of kokanee&rainbow fishing, but if fishing stays slow I don't think I'll make the 8 hour drive from here in Castle Rock. I see the weather is supposed to be snow free over there starting this Tuesday for a few days. We may head over early depending on what I see on the fishing reports. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I've been doing well out of Lincoln, but I didn't have time to scout the launch and a 23' hard top with surge brakes isn't fun on ice. If anyone knows how the Lincoln launch or 7 bays is doing.....that's where I'd be looking. Think Jones to lincoln.
