I want to thank everyone who participated in the first annual YJ Guide Service Burbot Tournament. We had a great time and met some really great people. Now for the results. We had 11 boats and 26 fisherman and women. We turned in a total of 54 Burbot with the biggest being a little over 4lbs in a little over 6.5 hrs of fishing. Fish were caught in hawk creek to the Spokane arm with half the group going up the arm and other half fishing the lake. Seems like the arm was the more productive area. Fish were caught on jigs in various colors and with a variety of baits on them. Hopefully those of you that weren't able to make it can make it next year. If anyone wants to learn this fishery we are booking trips since the fish are there now. Thanks everyone, Craig.

My buddy and i attended the tournament and had a great time. If there will be a second annual tournament we will be there for sure. Thanks yj guide service.

Yes there will be one next year for burbot the 2nd annual. We will also be doing a multi species (burbot, walleye, and rainbows) one as well in 2017..Thanks to everyone who came to the tournament. Sorry we missed out this year, have been fighting off a nasty cold since before Christmas and every time I'm out in the weather it seems to come back. Sounds like a great time by all, will look forward to next year's tourney! :-)
