Shore fishing at the mouth of the Kettle River has not been good so far. Over the last few weeks we've caught only 1 Burbot, 1 Walleye, and 2 Whitefish. Yesterday afternoon didn't produce a single bite. About 6 other people were down there when I showed up and not one of them had a fish on their stringer.
I didn't stay there too long so my friend and I decided to try the mouth of the Colville River. We didn't even try and throw a line in the water after seeing several Gill Nets set up all along both shorelines. These Pike are now starting to annoy me now that our fishing holes are being used up to catch them.
Stopped at Daisy boat launch to finish out the day and didn't catch a fish their either. Better luck next time.
