Did a family afternoon in Conconully. Stopped at the state park and BBQed up some food before we hit the evening bite. It was a school night so we did cut the trip just a bit short.
The larger Mack's DD dodger was the hotter producing dodger this night. Dragging one of my kokanee tube fly in Orange, tipped with pink Corn. Scented either anise plus or bloody tuna from pro cure. Pink tube fly also worked.
Most fish came at around 20 feet on the wire.
The best part about this day is that these fish are feeding and just absolutely stuffed full. They are fat and growing. By the end of the year these things will be averaging 16-17 inch a fish. This is going to be a amazing Conconully Kokanee season!
We are really excited to have this great fishery in our back yard. If you have always wanted to make the trip to check out Conconully this should be your year to do it if your after kokanee.

Not on the upper lake. There is one site by the boat launch on the lower lake or at the resorts on the lower lake. But upper lake is going to have their couple sites right on the water when they open back up. As of now looks like daily launches.

We camped at the state park and there's a couple spots where you can leave your boat over night on the lower lake. I was there Wednesday and Thursday did fare. Kokanee, rainbow trout large mouth bass. Not much fishing access if your fishing from the bank on the lower lake. It's a short walk from the park to fish the upper lake to fish the dike, that's where we caught most of the trout and large mouth bass from the bank.
