Decided to hit Stevens since I haven't been out there for a little while. Arrived at the lake at around 5:00am. Pumped up the raft, put the rod holders on and downriggers and decided to fish the "green shed" area in the middle of the lake. Started fishing at around around 5:20am. I ran 2 rods, one rod was rigged up with a Moon Gelly Arrow Flash Dodger, 14" leader of 12 pound fluorocarbon down to a Reli Lures Pinky/Purple Kokanee Beaded Spinner. The other rod was rigged with a Gold ArrowFlash Dodger 14" leader of 12 pound fluorocarbon down to a Reli Lures Diamond Flash Spinner. Both rigs tipped with Orange corn mixture, an outstanding corn recipe made by a gentleman Sam Baird and finally dipped in Krill/Anise Super dipping sauce. Both riggers set at 40 feet trolling towards the aerator. About 10 minutes goes by and the rod starts bouncing and popped the clip! Put up a good fight and brought in a nice 15" Kokanee that's starting to get its spawning colors and a slight hook nose on him. As soon as I netted him the other rod starts bouncing! Double up!! Brought him in and another really nice Kokanee. Set the gear down as soon I can to stay on the pod that I found and non stop action all the way through till I got my limit with a trout thrown in there to. I will say for those that are struggling out there, try to move your gear up and down the water column every 2 minutes and change your speeds consistently. You'll definitely get a lot more hooks ups. It was a great morning on Stevens and Fished for 4 hours and got my limit. 15 hookups total with 9 Kokanee and 1 Cutthroat! Just a typical Kokanee bite at Stevens! Now it's time to make a trip to Sekiu! Wishing all tight lines!
