Fabulous fishing in MA-10 this morning!! Lines in the water about 6:30 and had 8 or 10 fish to the boat by 8 oclock. Non-stop action, both rods were poppin! Mix of Pinks and Coho. Pinks are big and fat for sure. Biggest was 7.5lbs. We kept 2 pinks and 2 coho.

Edmonds oil docks area from oil docks south to the first buoy. 200-300 fow, cable at 50-60 ft. Used the setups shown in the pic. White flasher with a pink hoochie, 18 inch leader and Old Goat 2.8 " pink OG-1 with 24 inch leader. Both worked well. They only thing I did differently was wrap the hooks with fluorescent red thread. Dont know if this made a difference or not.

Tight Lines!!

Great report Randy. Good to see some silvers being caught. The Pinks are large this year and they put up a heck of a fight. Tight lines and hope to see you on the water.

Is the main portion of Area 10 open for salmon fishing now? I heard it was just Elliott Bay, or shoreline fishing.

Area 10 is open for Pinks and Hatchery coho. Release wild Coho and all Chinook. No clue what is going on in Elliot Bay. Area 9 is open for shoreline fishing in a very small area. Reg book defines all this stuff pretty well.

Randy: Thanks for giving the fluorescent-pink OG1 a try! (I'm going to trim a few leaders to 24 inches and give this a go myself.) --Donn
