9/30/2017 6:36:29 PMLake Washington fishing for Coho can be hit and miss and very frustrating when seeing fish but they don't hit. Coho have a tendency to go "lock jaw" upon entering fresh water. Even if they do hit you have no guarantee the hook will set correctly as the jaw seems to hardens up as well after entering fresh water..

9/30/2017 9:46:43 PMJaws are like steel for sure. Bump your hook size one or two notches. Wrap around the jaw rather than try to set the hook in the jaw. LOL sometimes it works.

9/30/2017 6:52:21 PMTry some deep six divers maybe. They will help trolling deeper without downriggers too. I've used them in the past in the salt and they work pretty good for getting depth.

9/30/2017 8:25:17 PMThink the weather change has really stopped the bite for now. I got skunked on Friday so you aint the Lone Ranger. No downriggers makes it a little more challenging for sure. Look on the internet, there is a chart that shows how much lead, speed, and how many feet of line equals depth. If you cant find it go to FB group Kokanee Addicts or Washington Saltwater. Somebody there can provide you with the link. Good luck.

No wind, smaller Point Wilson type darts; 1-1 1/2 oz in green/chrome or orange/white. Locate the fish, drop the jig to them and using a short jigging action slowly lift the rod tip 6"-a foot then quickly drop your rod tip following the jig down. The fish will always hit on the drop. 10/2/2017 6:41:20 AMFor sure hit and miss. Couple of ways to get your presentation to them as was said. You may be going a bit fast for fresh water though. My experience and what I have read you don't want to go much over 2 MPH. 2.4 at the high end.

Looks like I need to buy some trolling bags as a must and then a couple of deep divers.... Interested to see how the change in weather impacts the fishing
