I had bought a wooden Pram about 6 months ago, and after all summer of building a trailer, and tweaking the Pram, I still had never put it in the water.
Today was my opportunity for a maiden voyage in Beaver lake, in pursuit of the wiley tripoids.
I launched with my fishing partner, 'Motoboat' from the forum, at 0830

We trolled flies on full sinking and sinking tip lines. I was running streamers and black buggers.
The lake got 839 oversized trippoids on Oct 16th. I was able to mark a fair amount of fish throughout the lake, but more so near launch.

Weather was beautiful. 4 boats on the lake. I dude caught 1lb bass, other boats empty. 2 dudes on park shore had 1 fish. No bites, no hits, no fish for either of us.

New Pram was AWESOME! Humminbird FF rocked, swivel seat rocked, Minn Kota, etc. plenty of room for gear, happy happy.

Sounds like a great trip despite the fish Quad! It was a gorgeous day to be on the water.

Thanks for the report. Were you able to tell if the fish were hanging out along the edges of the weed lines or were in random places in the deeper (or shallower?) parts of the lake?

Shad/grin,

More fish as you come out of launch amd head right. After couple hundred yards, depth drops 15' , down to 30'. Right in there. They were hanging at the contour changes. Not necessarily weed lines. Not nearly the volune of fish though seen on sonar as i would have expected.
Of course that doesn't mean anything.
