We launched the Pandemonium around 10:00 at Seven Bays, after a somewhat foggy drive from Spokane, with some compact snow and slush on the road for the last few miles. Only a few rigs parked at the launch, but conditions were great for fishing. We motored down to Hawk Creek to start the day, and thought it was going to be fast and furious after a picking up a couple fish and missing a couple more on our first pass. A Rapalas nabbed the first fish, while we experimented with different lures. On our second loop, nothing happened so we packed up and headed down to Sterling Point and worked that area the rest of the day. The fish seemed to be hanging close to shore, around inlets and points, and most were suspended between 10 and 25 feet. No one lure was magic, though a pink Kekeda behind a 000 silver dodger and 3 to 4 colors of leaded line picked up three nice Rainbows, around 17-18". Needlefish, flies and hoochies were working too. Had a couple pop the downriggers at 20 to 25 feet, but most of the hits were on the leaded line rigs. We didn't limit the boat, but but could have if we wanted to motor back to the launch in the dark (I try to avoid that). One wild fish released, 3 or 4 keepers each for the intrepid fishers.

Thanks for the report and for continuing to use Kekeda flies. We experienced the same recently with fish being closer to shore. Sounds like they're still holding there. Three or four Roosevelt keepers is a good day!

Thanks for the report. Tried to follow your advice on Monday but only managed a double. Glad you did good. Well the only way to be there on the "right day" is to stay after them and that's the plan.
