Fishing at palmer was awesome. We use to only fish from shore and only caught some little sucker fish. We got a new boat this year and we desided to try out Palmer for Smallies. Only got in one fish a 21" Smallie this thing was huge. We had some more huge smallies on but they all broke our lines. We run 8-10 lbs. test. We were fishing in the open water by the grass/weed beds at the northwest end. We are going back on the 24th hopefully. We plan to catch more this time cause these are the biggest smallies we have caught.
