Saw the report that Beaver was stocked with 7k so I headed up after work. I arrived to seeing not one car at the launch nor on the shoreline...I questioned that the lake was planted. I later saw one Fly Angler who I had a nice conversation with when both returned t9 the launch.

Not seeing any risers near the launch I headed down the lake aways. I started to notice the swallow’s buzzing the lake. From my golfing background I know that the swallows buzz around your golf cart to get the bugs that come up so I figured that a hatch was going on and sure enough I started to see fish rising. Then the sun came out and the risers disappeared and the Eagles appeared. Soon, the Eagles started to go after fish near the tree that they were perched on. They went 0-4 but they told me where to fish.

As I trolled over to the spot and caught a stocker on a Rapala. When I got to the spot I worked the area with a Pink Trout Magnet. Nothing, but then I saw a riser close to shore and it was now game on. Fish after Fish and no matter what color I used, it worked. As I let the fish gather themselfs in my net before I released the, I would catch another one to a point that I had 5 in the net at one time. It was that fast.

It was great to learn what I did from the swallows and Eagles today or might not have located the fish that I did.

One of other side note, I was able to gather up a few Eagle Feathers from their tails sections that were left floating on the water after a missed attempt. New Lucky Charm that I have on my pontoon from now on.

Very nice report. Just a heads up though, if those were bald or golden eagles I would get rid of those feathers or risk hefty fines! It’s illegal to take/touch/keep any part of Eagles. https://www.fws.gov/eaglerepository/factsheets/PossessionOfEagleFeathersFactSheet.pdf

Great way of tying it all together. You got Intel from the Eagles, your own observations on risers, Intel from swallows, etc. always good to have our eyes open to our surroundings.
