Decided to head out to Lost lake in the afternoon as I had about 3 hrs to spare. Used Elgin Fishing God's Tooth spoons and God blessed with 25 fish that seemed to average between 9"-12". Was not able to land a holdover but had a blast none the less! The most effective patterns were 50/50 blue, brown trout, and silver shiner set on fast action. Mostly trolled but did spend a significant amount of time just stationary/drifting while casting and retrieving. Did not use any weight as the fish were in the top 5' of the water column. Had the pleasure of meeting fellow NWFR member TMBob. With the recent below average temperatures and cold lake water, it seemed to me the fish were not quite as aggressive as they could be but still a great day on the water! Wishing all tight lines!

The video below shows some of the action for the day.

Great Meeting you Russ....thanks for the Brown Trout Pattern. Funny, I also caught one reeling in after I stopped rowing. I gave it the reel phase routine because I like how the lure sinks and it worked!

I use that technique too and sometimes just kill the motor and the fish will strike it when sinking after a few seconds. Lost a few on the sharp turns I made.
