Tried to catch some rock fish, but it was too windy and very low tide at the location I went. I did managed to catch a crab, looks like a king crab. One of the claws was broken. Hope it can grow back over time.
It was so cold, so I walked along the beach and casting a Kastmaster at different locations. Nothing at open water. But a second cast at a cove, the lure was hit and a fish jumped out of water. It was a 14 inch cutthroat. That was the first cutthroat for me! My backpack was at distance and should have taken a picture.

WalkingLight. I can understand concealing a fishing location where the target species is constricted to a small area like steelhead, but rockfish are all over the coast in any location with almost anything you can toss in the water and jig with.

Rockfish are also closed year round in Puget Sound, although the person positing does not exactly say he is in Puget Sound, but catching a Cutthroat kinda makes you think...
Not busting your Pautskis, Walkinginthelight, but good to be aware.

Thanks to point that out. I am new to fishing and sorry used the wrong fish name. The fish I was trying to catch was actually stripped surf perch. I have seen people caught the fish in that beach.
