I got to fish with Jeff Witkowski of Darrell and Dad's Family Guide Service, filming for a future TV episode on laker fishing. Along for the action was Bobby Loomis of Macks Lure.

The weather front came in late Friday and the wind was howling when we checked in at 10pm. I honestly didn't think we'd be fishing the next morning, however, when we met up at 6am the wind was laying down. By 7am conditions turned out to be prime as we hit the Narrows.

Jeff set out two downrigger rods and he and Bobby kept those rods in constant contact with the bottom. We also ran ran two outrigger rods with kokanee gear.
It didn't take long at all for tg he first fish of the day, a beautiful 18" chinook that Bobby landed.

We all agreed that was a good omen and it turned out to be the case as we started catching fish on all rods. The kokanee are a nice 12-16" class. The mackinaw started at 3-4 pounds and just kept getting bigger, culminating in a beautiful 8 pound fish that gsve a great fight.

We called it a morning at 11 with ten macks and seven kokanee, and one king. A little rain but calm waters, couldn't ask for more.

It was great meeting and fishing with Bobby, he really knows his stuff. As always Jeff was entertaining and got us on fish.

You can fish with Jeff by contacting Darrell and Dad's Family Guide Service.
The macks and koks are fishing good now!

Great report Mike but we could have used some more photos. I love that area with those great fishing and camping lakes.
