Fishing this year has really taken off. Wildlife finally figured out
that to survive larger trout would have to be planted, they did and the
fish are showing up in large numbers. We also got a truck load of the
hybrid trout that were in the 15" range when planted. No telling how big
they'll get. Walleye are also showing in good numbers, and anglers
should remember that they can only have one fish over 24''. Most people
are using beetle spins for the walleye because they are also catching 10
to 11'' crappie and blue gill in the same area. So using the smaller
lure pays off. No many catfish showing yet, we need some warm weather
to put them on the bite..
We have plenty of camping spaces so give Sprague Lake and Sprague Lake
Resort a try.
