Friend and I went fishing this morning targetting chinook. Nice to break in the centrepin for the season. We primarily fished roe this morning as the chinook had 0 interest in artificials. Bite was on from first light until about 9am then it died right out. We landed 1 adult each, which is ok for the amount of time and effort spent. The fights were incredibly good. Really good. My fish took me on 100'+ knucklebusting runs multiple times. I had to chase the fish downstream for quite a ways before i could turn it, got it in after 15 minute or so fight. Not the biggest fish either, but very spirited..
