It was another good day of fishing with 4 in the cooler between 3 of us. Both were double-downs and we had a couple other single hook ups but nothing else landed.

Treat of the day was when we were "pinched" by a boat on our starboard. They were wide open on their starboard and we had two boats on our port, so we couldn't turn, but they just kept until they finally cut us off about 40 feet in front us. Right at that moment we got our 2nd double down and got to catch two nice ones right in front of them!
It was also funny because it originally a single down, but 2nd line started tugging and it looked like the classic tangled line - in fact, they were tangled and Tim reeled his flasher all the way up to Larry's pole while he was fighting his fish before they realized there was actually a fish on his line. We were thinking it was going to be 2 fish in one net when the 2nd one that Tim had untangled itself, dove under the motor and up the port side right to my waiting net!

Anyhow, a good day overall although the waters weren't for the faint at heart (it's almost 8pm and I STILL feel like I'm rocking back and forth!)

When u measure your leaders, do you go back hook to swivel or chain for your measurement?

We have everything pre-tied. All swivels, leaders and lures/hooks. We tie the swivel, measure it and cut it at 28", so it's probably around 27" when all is said and one. We're thinking the more erratic movements are better for coho.

It was choppy to say the least, I had to head in after an hour. My raft is usually fine, but not that day!

we saw a zodiac with 3 people going in early - was that you? I was wondering how you could even manage with that wind!
