Day 2 Report - Potholes Res. Today (yesterday now) was much like the day before. 6 Walleye in the boat and Momma lost 4 at the boat (still trying to get her to set the hook a little better). Wind wasn't an issue like it was yesterday. Changed up to a Berkley 4' Minnow (Perch Pattern) on one of the slow death rigs and fish seemed to be a little larger (but nothing to write home about). Fish were a little more scattered that the previous day but still in the same general area. A little deeper in 22 to 28 fow rather than the 12 to 15 fow the day before. The high, bright sun may have had something to do with it but no way to be certain. The highlight of the day was Momma getting a 28 hand in Cribbage to beat my sorry Butt.

Yes, thanks for the reports, one question for all the walleye fans, is the quality of these post spawn fish as good eating as later in spring or summer? Thanks

The fish are definitely more slender than they are in the fall after spending the summer fattening up for the winter months. The quality of meat is excellent though having come out of the colder water temps. Just my opinion though.
