Beautiful sunrise morning. Hit the neighborhood fishing hole. I fished Texas rigged watermelon Senkos, and a very glittery one, grey.
I was fortunate to have a really decent morning. Before the sun became very high in the sky, I was targeting shady areas near brush. I picked up 3 fish, all of which I would put at a solid 2 lbs. I'm trying to be more observant of the 'What and where' things are happening for me with bass. Mental note says, 'Shady, brushy areas, low light' Also, it is always nice when you break away from your confidence baits.
I always throw a whacky rigged Senko, but that becomes limiting when there is weeds/brush, etc.

Ive noticed that breaking out of my confidence set-ups teaches me more and more lately. Even when the bite is hot, i'll change up to something completely different, just to further my knowledge. This site is a great place to document the when and where.... my memory is not what it used to be! I too have a small fishery that I do not want to report about...... I can see how reporting many more secret lake reports would be beneficial to my own record keeping! Thanks for the report!

Yeah I'm probably going to post more secret spots as well this year. And I have been getting out of my comfort zone fishing this year and it's working pretty well so far! Thanks for the report and nice few largies you got there! Largemouths love cover, shade is the place to be
