Spent the weekend over at potholes state park. Took us a few trips out to figure out where the fish were but eventually narrowed it down to 20-30 feet on the wire in 40-60 ft of water. Caught and released a limits worth of rainbows all between 3-5 pounds, smallest being 17.5 inches up to 22 inches as the largest. A real blast on light weight Kokanee rods. Used spinners tipped with night crawlers behind small flashers. Stayed out on the lake most of the day just trying to stay cool until the wind kicked us off.

Beauties! Alot of water out there, was there an area that was most productive?

East side of the lake was most productive (Medicare Beach), caught a couple in front of the sand dunes

I’ve caught 7lb+ rainbows fast trolling (3mph+) chartreuse 4” shad raps or flicker shad crankbaits off Medicare Beach. 10-15’ down.

Nice, the rainbows seem to get overlooked because of the walleye fishery, but they sure are fun

Who what is your lure depth at 20-30 on the line with your troll speed and ball weight? What was your troll speed?
