Would have gave it a 4 if the fish would have been a bit bigger, we had a good day and just picked fish here and there all day. Launched out of Porcupine before 8 and fished upstream of the launch for the rest of the day. The old saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink could read you can try and tell a guy how to catch Walleye but that doesn't mean it's all going to work out on the water. After receiving a bunch of good pointers from a very helpful fellow NWFR member we headed to the lake with high expectations only to find that talking about it is easier than doing it. We started out jigging but after a while with no results we fell back to our default mode of bottom bouncing with the idea that if we found some we would switch back to jigs. Well we never really found them I guess. We picked up fish from 20 FT to 70 FT with 68 being where we caught the most. It was an outstanding day on the water and we had a great time. So we are already trying to figure out how to improve on the last trips results, and we will, count on it.
Stay after them, it's the right thing to do.

Keep after them, learned a long time ago, time on the water leads to success. You'll soon be another 'eye "whisperer". :-)

The only way to get better is to keep at it. One area can be hot one and the next day it's a struggle. The back of my boat always looks like a graveyard for plastics because we constantly change colors as the day progresses if the eyes stop hitting a particular color. We saw a lot of guys trolling the main channel at the south end of Porky; everything we have been catching has been in less than 35 FOW so go figure.
