A beautiful lazy day on the water and from my point of view a lazy day for the fish also. Launched out of Porcupine around 7:30 and fished several spots up river. Caught 8 dinks but nothing worth keeping. No wind, sunny, the birds were singing, the only thing missing was the fish. Had a scary moment when we hit a sandbar up above the green buoy above buoy 5. My bad, I knew I should have been further left but I was in 18 feet of water and the wham. I think there used to be a marker there and if the water drops just a bit more this sandbar will be exposed. No apparent serious damage so the Good Lord looked out for this old fool once again. I know better. Been up there dozens of times. Bet it doesn't happen again soon.
