I took my older brother, and my two boys over to Moses Lake i90 bridge to try for some Fall Crappies. I been to this place at least 3 different times before, but have always missed the Crappies. This time we got into a decent Crappie bite.

SNATCHINGLIPS, Thank You. I Heard from elders that Moses Lake was the number one for Crappies back in the days. We just got lucky to get some big ones.

My dad and I used to fish on the I90 bridge at Moses lake back in the 70’s-80’s and we used to slay the crappie. We’d fill a 5-gallon bucket with slab crappie in less than an hour! We used 1/8oz plastic red/white, yellow/white and green/white jigs. We also used crappie tongue’s they would float like a butterfly under water when you jig them up and down and the crappie loved them. They don’t fall off your hook, try them sometime.

SLABSIDE57, I did not even know Crappie have tongue’s ??. So you actually cut out their tongue and use for bait? Thank You for sharing your your knowledge ??

You just make two slits on the undersides of the mouth then cut the little tip off and pull the tongue straight down till it peels off, it looks like a little butterfly. We used to catch them on tongue when nothing else would work!
