Report for friday afternoon. Launched at 7-bays about 2. Wind was blowing pretty stiff and didn't have alot of time, so headed over to the creek again.
Finally bought some of the infamous Kekeda flies. They looked REALLY awesome, so I was looking forward to trying them out!! Rigged 1 pole per Hewesfisher (leaded with the perch fly). Rigged another rod the same, except on a downrigger. Other 2 rods with other gear. The leaded line with the perch kekeda was definitely the hit setup, followed by the downrigger (both with kekedas). We lost a few and turned one loose, but ended up with 7 nice fish. I think maybe one might have been 3/4 trout and 1/4 tuna?? (see the nose in the pic). Headed back out tomorrow, if you see a black hewescraft Pro-V with hondas, give me a wave!

Looks like that Bow had a nose job.LOL. NO better fish to smoke than Roosevelt Bows. Nice catch!

Thanks for the report, good to see those nice looking Rainbows. Keep it going. The Kekeda flies have been my best producers on the long run. Ever once in awhile it will seem to be something else but not with any consistency.

"The leaded line with the perch kekeda was definitely the hit setup"

When something works I don't change until it doesn't. ;-)

Curious what depth you were running the flies on the DRs. I've caught a few snub nosed 'bows over the years as well.

Will watch for your ProV, if you see a white one with web address for Hewescraft Owners forum on the sides, that'll be us. Tentatively planning to be there Nov 11 - 14.

Thank you for buying some and giving them a shot out there. I’m really happy to hear they delivered for you. I had the same success with a perch and an orange Kekeda at Hunters earlier this week. It’s definitely fly time at Roosevelt. I really appreciate the report! Take care, Dave
