Mike and I went out with Glenn to Porcupine Bay. Fishing was winter time meaning slow but we caught 15 eyes and 9 burbot. Blade baits and jigs in fire tiger produced best. A quick jig up and letting your lure slowly glide back down worked best for me. Mike released a 5 lb eye and I released a 4.5 lb eye. We cleaned 9 we 9 eater eyes and 6 burbot. Everything we caught was in 50 to 70 fow.

Thanks for the report Mark! Nice to see you and the fellas got out to take advantage of the nice fishing weather we've had of late. =)

Between the weather and some other stuff it has been tough to get on the water. Not a bad start to 2022

Man you sure catch the nice Eyes! I have been having fun hunting for Rainbows but then I see your report and you get me thinking Eyes. Need to develop some confidence in jigs and blade baits. Thanks for the report.

Part Time it was definitely an early bite. We hung around till 1500 but the three hours were very slow. Did not see any trout activity on the surface all day.

Nice work Mark! It was nice meeting you guys and watching you catch way more fish than us! I was in the Wooldridge.

NW we just happened to hit that spot at the right time. The eyes and burbot were stuffed full of 3 inch perch. If you happen to find the two together, it can be very productive. We were in the same area today and only caught 2 dinks.
