Hit Kitsap lake this morning at 0845 and fished until about 1345. Water tempt was 52 degrees. Landed 15 fish and had another 12 take downs. Running two leadcore set ups, all the fish came in between 4 and 5 colors deep. Ran a number of offerings on the surface and between 3.5 colors, but no hits or hook-ups until we went 4 and 5 colors deep.

Best offering was a trout Trix worm behind a fish flash. Both bubble gum colored and orange. Also caught a couple of trout on a Mack's kokanee pro wedding ring in pink and silver behind Mack's flashlights, with 2 oz of lead, 45 pulls behind the boat.

Talked to a couple of anglers who were skunked, and one that had landed three fish and one that landed one. Overall good day, best luck was at the south end of the lake staying between 15-20 feet of water running 1.8 to 2.2 mph.

Sounds as if you both had fun. Keep in mind when fishing with "bait" the limit is the first 5 RB each, no size limit. You cannot pick and choose. Since Mack's Trix are scented at the factory- it is "bait". https://www.fishhuntshoot.com/product/trout-trix-worm-kit/
