My partner and I started fishing at 9:30 am and fished until 1:00. While I didn't actually check the water temperature, it was cold. Fishing for my boat, we trolled flies, rooster tails, and small spinners. While we saw a few small fish breaking the surface, we only had one hit on a fly, with no hook-up.
I talked to several boats on the water and the story was the same. Bigger fish showing near the bottom in 15 to 25 feet. The good news is that bugs have been hatching in the water and with a little more sunshine, this lake is going to be active as the bigger fish move towards the surface and into the shallows.
