On Wed. the 3rd, my fishin buddy, Buzz and I decided to try Spanaway just for giggles, as we had tried Mineral earlier in the week and found it to a flop. We started about 8:30 in the morning, a cool dark overcast day which stayed that way until the late afternoon. Most of the morning we trolled because of the winds off and on. We found it mostly unproductive except for a million little planters the state apparently dropped in earlier this year. They were all over and hit anything we wanted to throw at them. We managed to pick up a couple 10 or 12 inchers to complete the day and call it worth while. About noon Buzz had to make a retreat to the "hill" at the boat launch so I stayed in the boat waiting for him and while I was there, a State truck pulled down the ramp and proceeded to dump in 300 nice 4 & 5 lb. brooders. Naturally even after we got back out we were unable to "get lucky". The stayed till 2:30 trying hard to pick a fight with one of the the "new arrivals" but to no avail. So we decided to head in. At the dock, again while we were getting ready to load the boat, here comes the state again and dropped another 250 !!! Well I figure by this time since I haven't seen anything here in the column, I'll go back out and see if they are ready for a fight!
Hey Guys, good luck and we will look for you out there! Tight Lines and Happy Hookers to all you! Crwn55
