My husband and I were over at the potholes for the Styx/Bad Company concert at the gorge. Of course we brought our fishing gear. On a whim, we decided to try Warden Lake. We had read about it in the fishing and hunting news. We went back towards the seep lakes and found "South Warden". We were using sherbet colored power bait. We limited out on nice big rainbows in about an hour. The next day, the same thing. The third day was a big slower, but I expect it was because of the weather change. We still got our limits though. Just took a bit longer. After reading the reports about using a rubber frog, I can hardly wait to try it for myself. Can anybody tell me how big a frog, and where to get one. Do you use weights with them? ect... How about smelly jelly instead of WD40? Anyways, I would say Warden is a winner hands down. One little note though, if you go in the evening, make sure to use LOTS of bug repellent. The mosquitoes are as big as the fish!!!!
