I've been trying to catch some channel catfish at Swofford and
after twenty trips I finally started getting the hang of it. I was going to keep this to myself but if we don't share information about our favorite places then this page will do no good for any of us. Between midnight and four am on the eighth and the twenty-first I got lucky and caught three channel cats 18-19 inches long and two in the pounds category. One was four pounds and the biggest went eight and a half pounds. I rigged up for bottom
fishing and just sat there or lay there half asleep until the drag and bell let me know it was action time.
