My friend, Cory Danis, and I spent 3 hours at the north end of Battleground lake. We bottom-fished with 1/2 oz egg weights, 4-5 feet of 4lb leader, and pink Powerbait eggs on size 6 hooks. After 3 hours, we had both caught 20 fish (I caught 11, he caught 9). We released the smaller 8-10 inch fish and each kept our daily limit of 5. Of those, the biggest was 16 inches, and the smallest was
13 1/2 inches. There are a lot of snags in this lake. We found it best to cast out, and just wait for a bite. It's easier to snag on a log without a fish on. Patience was the key.
