Gissberg has been good for the little stockers but I would like to comment on the amount of garbage in the water and along the shore. There is lots of it. Not only is there old cans and fast food wrappers but lots of fishing junk like packaging for fishing related items such as styrofoam worm canisters, old fishing line lure packaging etc. Now I know Gissberg is not exactly a wilderness experience and I know 98% of the fishermen dont litter (or at least I would like to think that) but to those that do litter I would ask you to please clean up after yourselves. Leaving your junk around for others to see and more importantly to spoil the fishing environment showes very little class and is very unsportsman like. Thanks.
PS - I saw some very large fish maybe almost 10lbs swimming along the shore..I have no idea what they were but they were big.

Probably channel cats. They grow huge in there. Caught one at least 10 pounds on chicken livers a couple of years back.

Actually, they were triploid broad stock. I hooked into 4 of them on my 2 weight flyrod. Broke my tippet and came unbuckled a couple of times. I landed one that went 7 lbs on my scale. Rod
