Fish were deeper today at Medical, about 17-18 feet down. Got a brown and a rainbow on olive wooly bugger using a varied retrieve with intermediate line. Also several other strikes. Noticing that most fish were close to the bottom, I then went low and slow with a leech and full sink line. Got several crushing strikes that resulted in immediate hook-ups. Most were large rainbows that went absolutely crazy! Most were able to throw the hook. One particularly large bow freaked out and got into the backing...no kidding, he was highly pissed! I was certain that I'd somehow foul hooked him til I got him to the net, but no. The browns fought well but were easier to land. Also got a couple of next year's batch, ie a tiger and brown both about 10". I wonder if the WDFW planted any additonal rainbows....keep them coming, guys!
