Took the drive from Olympia to Richland Oregon in hopes of getting a few crappie. After a short hic cup on the way we did not get there til, 4pm Saturday night. Started setting up camp and sent my 15 year old to fish. After setting up camp, we went to go fish. Checked on my boy and he had already caught a 13inch smallie, and a small crappie. I was catching a lot of dinks, both large and small mouth. 1 buddie caught a couple smallies, and my othe buddy caught a smallie, and a channel cat with a jig and bobber.

Decided to take a break make dinner, and do some nighttime cat fishing. 1 buddy and me managed to stay awake till about 2 am, using everything nightcrawlers, crappie guts, and catfish dough bait. All we got were small bite like perch sucking on the stuff oh well.

I woke up at before sunlight around 4:20am, and started fishing the morning bite, caught a couple crappie, a couple smallies, and lots of dinks. Woke up the kid and my buds around 5:30, they caught a few more smallies while I napped.

Only reason I rate this low is we came targeting crappie, but still got plenty of action, just not many crappie.
