Launched at the Everett ramp at 430. Wind was out of the NNW at 5-10 knots against an incoming tide.
Ran to the upper end of HH and got 1 line in the water. It was to windy and rough to use the kicker so I worked the main motor in and out of gear to try and troll.
I could not believe the small boats out on the water in the slop and NO running lights at all in the dark.
The slop laid down at the tide change around 730 and we moved out to the shipping lanes and started trolling south.
Thanks to the two guys who pulled along side us and and told us where and how they had picked up their limits this morning.
11" white flasher with a pink stripe. Pink mini squid tied 20" behind the flasher.
Trolling speed 1.7 mph at 65 feet deep, trolling the rips/ slicks outside HH.
We hooked 5 fish and got three in the boat in the next hour. Then the bite died.
Lots of fish jumping up by Mukilteo even after the tide switched to out going.
The boat launch was a zoo when we pulled back in at 1230.
There was a real nice 22' Trophy sitting up high on the launch ramp with No trailer under it.
I've never seen the water get that high at the ramp so it must of slid off the trailer before they even got close to launching in the water. BUMMER!!
I don't have a clue how they intended to get it back on a trailer. Crane?
