1/2/2013 10:00:00 PMThanks for the report. If you are at the Racetrack it isnt too far north to Elger Bay, which I find is a better spot. MA 9 opens on 1/16 and that should be better than Saratoga Passage.

Well, gave it another try today. Only three trailers at the Everett launch, and one of them was a duck hunter. Gear down at 11:15A, strong ebb tide. Started at the Racetrack, marked some bait, but pretty scarce. Dragged the Racetrack with 2 other boats (one charter) for about an hour and a half and caught one shaker. Moved over to the Southeast end of Hat Island and gave it another 3 hrs. No other boats, bait very scarce...one more shaker. I fished through slack low tide at the SE end of Hat Island and headed back to Everett launch at sundown (4PM). Shoulda gone duck hunting...those guys did OK!
