5/8/2014 8:17:00 AMWe rigged our gear with a one ounce cannonball at the end followed by two size 6 hooks spread about 12 inches apart with the bottom hook about 18 inches above the cannonball. Cast out as far as you can in the surf and let it sit for about a minute. If you don't get any hits, move the bait slowly along the bottom about 2 or 3 feet. Keep doing this for about 4 or 5 times, you should get a bite if they are around. Hope that helps!

5/8/2014 11:39:00 AMA couple other tips that have worked well for me...I personally use 2 ounces. Gets me down quicker, and keeps me in the zone longer. I use a cannonball if I'm doing a sliding Carolina rig, or a pyramid if I'm running a drop shot. See this thread for good tips on rigging for perch.
