hit the jetty at westhaven early, hoping to get there and fish the sand before the surfers woke up. no luck so i fished along the jetty. i released 2 greenling and a black rockfish, to small for me. i tried using plastic hootchie type things first, white the green. the green caught 1 greenling. i then tried the shrimp i got at safeway and caught the other 2 fish. the park ranger gave me the new placard for the discover pass, green one. he said the yellow one looks to much like wdfw one. after leaving i found 3 different beaches just to the south you can drive on, think i'll try them for surf perch soon.
